The Sheridan County Board of Equalization met in regular session at 10:39 A.M. In the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting act a copy of which is posted on the North wall of the chamber and brochures available on the guest desk. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Andersen seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 9-16-2013. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Assessor Winter presented the board a rejected homestead exemption request from Kenneth and Doris Lang. The Lang’s have not been living in their Sheridan County home, due to health concerns, but intend to return to and live in that home again as soon as they can. After checking with the County Attorney the Assessor recommends the board approve the homestead exemption. Krotz made a motion to approve the homestead exemption for Kenneth and Doris Lang with the conditions of a follow up next year on occupancy. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
