The meeting was called to order by Mayor Chris Heiser at 6:00 p.m. as per the Municipal Code of the City of Rushville, Sheridan County, NE. Notice of the meeting was given by publication in the Sheridan County Journal Star on April 23, 2014 as required by law and delivered to the Council in person. Present: Snyder, Lovell, Jansen Absent: Willnerd entered meeting at 6:10 p.m.
The following motions were duly made, seconded and passed.
1. To approve, accept and ratify the following items listed under the consent agenda: Council minutes of the March meeting and the March Treasurers Report.
2. Approved moving next Council Meeting to May 19, 2014 with bills and payroll approved for May 29, 2014.

The Miller Property was discussed. City Attorney Aaron Conn informed the Council that the Fire Marshall doesn’t need to inspect the property. The Board of Health needs to deem the property unsafe and a public nuisance. The Mayor will call Sharon Sulzbach and ask her what she intends on doing with this property. No action taken at this time.
Councilman Willnerd entered the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
The Council discussed dogs and dogs running at large. There was a report that a resident has a pit bull. The City Clerk will send a copy of the ordinance banning pit bull dogs within the City of Rushville to this resident, and will turn this over to the County Sheriff. The City Clerk will also send a copy of the Ordinance pertaining to dog licensing to another resident within the City of Rushville. The Council wants the dog catcher to be aware of two dogs running at large on Loofborrow Street. No other action taken at this time.
The City Boards will meet as follows: Golf Board May 5, 2014; Park Board May 12, 2014; Ambulance Board May 13, 2014; Cemetery Board May 13, 2014.
