The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioner’s Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is posted on the guest desk. Andersen made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. Andersen made a motion to approve the minutes of 6-30-2014. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
The board audited and approved claims.
Ron and Jerry Fisher appeared before the board to request that Mark Loos of the Nebraska Department of Revenue be subpoenaed to appear at the Fisher’s Valuation Protest Hearing on July 18, and for a continuance for the hearing. The board stated that they would consider the request and get back to them.
Andersen made a motion to authorize County Treasurer Peg Sones to sign the annual certification receipt for Federal Road/Bridge Funds. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Road Superintendent Kuester presented the board with two right of way applications. The approved an approach to the right of way on 280 lane for Bottorff Farms and permission to occupy the right of way on 220 Lane at Hwy 20 by NPPD in order to bury a cable.
At 9:30 A.M. the board reconvened as the Board of Equalization to continue hearing Property Valuation Protests.
