The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to issue a new National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to Sheridan Livestock Truckwash, 501 Sale Barn Road, Rushville, NE (NPDES# NE0139025; SIC 7542). The facility cleans and washes livestock trucks/trailers. The truck wash does not discharge to surface waters or publically owned treatment works. Wastewater solids are discharged through land application. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
