The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 10:05 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Andersen seconded the motion. All vote aye. Andersen made a motion to approve the minutes of 10-14-2014. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
The board signed claim checks and audited and approved salary claims.
Clerk of District Court Eloise Kampbell asked the board to consider purchasing a smaller, more economical car for use by the county officials and employees. The board agreed to review the costs and benefits of the proposal.
Sheriff Robbins delivered a review of proposals for new equipment for the E-911 system prepared for his department by GEO-COM. Tech support for the old system will end soon so the purchase of a new system is necessary. Funds for the new system have already been accrued from fees on telephone landlines and cell phones in the area.
The board reviewed a service agreement for the emergency generator. Andersen made a motion to renew the service agreement with B J Harris Inc of Greeley, NE for the emergency generator that powers the Sheriff’s Office and Courthouse. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
