I. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by Sheridan Public Transportation System at 207 S. Main St., Rushville, NE 69360 at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 for the purpose of considering a fare change and project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Federal Transit Administration, pursuant to the Federal Transit ACT (FTA), generally described as follows:
Description of Project:
Sheridan County Public Transportation System is applying for operating assistance to provide general public transportation. Location of the project is Sheridan County, Nebraska. The estimated cost of the project by source funds are $ 19,281.50 in federal funds, $ 8,658.25 in state funds and $ 8,658.25 in local funds for the Cities of Hay Springs, Rushville and Gordon in Sheridan County, with occasional trips to Chadron, NE.
Proposed Fare Change:
A fare change is being proposed from $1.00 per boarding to $1.00 per day within Sheridan County and $5.00 per day to Chadron, NE.
Elderly and Disabled:
This project will take into consideration the special needs of the elderly and/or persons with disabilities.
This Project and fare change is available for the general public. At the hearing, Sheridan Public Transportation System will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic and environmental aspects of the Project. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing evidence and recommendations with respect to said Project.
II. A copy of the Application for a Federal Grant for the proposed Project is available for public inspection at Northwest Community Action Partnership, 270 Pine St., Chadron, NE 69337.
