The City of Hay Springs, NE3116102 Public Water Supply System in SHERIDAN County, is required by Nebraska’s Regulations Governing Public Water Supplies, Title 179 NAC 2 to collect sample(s) monthly for total coliform bacteria.
The City of Hay Springs Public Water Supply System is required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water meets health standards. During the month of April 2015 we did not monitor for total coliform and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time.
This is not an emergency. There is nothing you need to do at this time.
The City of Hay Springs Public Water Supply System regrets its failure to collect valid total coliform samples and will work to ensure that the testing is observed in the future. This system will sample for total coliform again in May 2015.
