The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Andersen seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 7-13-2015. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
The board signed claim checks and audited and approved salary claims.
The board reviewed the janitorial applications and visited about offering the position to two applicants. The board felt that the work load for all three buildings was more than one person could do adequately. Applications were numbered by the board. Andersen made a motion to accept two full time housekeepers #6721 and #8279 pending notification. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Clerk of District Court Carol Stouffer presented a contract between her office and Health and Human Services for child support collection services. Andersen made a motion to authorize the chairman to sign the agreement with Health and Human Services. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Road Superintendent Tom Kuester visited with the board about the payment procedure for the cost-share agreement on 320th Trail. The board agreed to pay $20,00 and the contractor should bill the area landowners for the remaining balance.
Kuester asked the board questions about the budget. The board directed him to budget for salary increases of $500/year at his discretion and to budget the same amount as last year for gravel.
The board conducted their quarterly inspection of the jail.
