The Sheridan County Board of Equalization met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Andersen made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. Andersen made a motion to approve the minutes of 8-10-2015. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
At 9:05 A.M. County Assessor Amanda Lane and the board convened a hearing on the revocation of a permissive exemption on a property at 178 N Cornell in Gordon. Ownership of the church and parsonage has been transferred from the Evangelical Ministers Alliance Inc. to Rosane Fry, a private citizen. The board closed the hearing. Krotz made a motion to restore Lot 1 & N 57’ Lot 2, Block 9 & S 3’ Lot 2 and All of Lot 3, Block 9 Lucas Addition to the City of Gordon to the tax rolls. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Assessor Lane presented a correction sheet. Andersen made a motion to approve the correction sheet allowing a Homestead Exemption for James and Margie Irwin. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
The board decided to set levies at the September 28, 2015 meeting.
