The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9:30 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Andersen made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to accept the minutes of 3-14-2016 with corrections. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
The board signed claim checks and audited and approved salary claims.
Road Superintendent Kuester and Building and Grounds Superintendent Sones met with the board about the parking lot east of the Jail building. Kuester feels like it needs some type of barrier so people can’t drive thru. Then dig it out, remove the trees and lay gravel. The board was in agreement. The equipment and hauling will be furnished by the Road Department and Sones will do the work.
Kuester informed the board that he plans to advertise for bids on a front end loader to be opened on April 11 at 9:30 A.M.
The board spent minimal time discussing legislation. The remainder of the day was spent participating in County Government Day.
