PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the Planning Commission of the City of Gordon, Nebraska that a public hearing will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 6:15 p.m., in the Council Room at the Gordon City Hall, 311 North Oak Street, in Gordon, Nebraska, 69343. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comment prior to the consideration of a change to section 9-207 and 9-304 of the Gordon Municipal Ordinances, so that freestanding signs may have a surface area of up to 150 square feet pursuant to 19-904 and 19-905 Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, as amended.
The property that is the subject of this notice and of the public hearing is described as follows:
A tract of land out of Outlot “A”, to Gordon, Sheridan County, Nebraska, which Outlot is also described as Outlot “A” of Barto’s Subdivision in Gordon, Nebraska, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Outlot “A” as the point of beginning, then South 561 feet; then West 300 feet; thence North 561 feet to the South boundary line of U.S. Highway #20; and thence East 300 feet along the South right of way line of U.S. Highway #20 to the point of beginning.
All interested parties shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to express their views at the public hearing regarding the proposed change to the Gordon Municipal Ordinances.
