The meeting was called to order by Mayor Chris Heiser at 6:00 p.m. as per the Municipal Code of the City of Rushville, Sheridan County, NE. Notice of the meeting was given by publication in the Sheridan County Journal Star on May 18, 2016 as required by law and delivered to the Council in person. Present: Snyder, Jansen, Lovell, Willnerd. Absent None.
The following motions were duly made, seconded and passed.
1. To approve, accept and ratify with correction the following items listed under the consent agenda: Council minutes of the April meeting and the April Treasurers Report.
2. Approved wages for the Swimming Pool Manager $10.50 per hour; Assistant Manager $10.00 per hour and life guards $9.00 per hour.
3. Approved all of the following bills for the City of Rushville Plus Parkview Lodge Assisted Living share of City Sales Tax and that warrants be drawn for same:

Under Public Comments Cheryl Hemingway asked the Council if there was anything that could be done about some of the houses in Rushville that need painted. She was informed that this could be more of a health issue. She was asked to report this to the Sheridan County Sheriff as they are to enforce all ordinances. The City Attorney stated there is a penalty clause for all ordinances.
Don Maberry was present to ask if there was a penalty for not shoveling sidewalks. The City Attorney advised him that there was a penalty and he was referred to Ordinance #8-501.
