The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9:30 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. Krotz and Kling present. Andersen absent for other county business. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Kling seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 9-19-2016. Kling seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Road Superintendent Kuester presented the board with the NBCS report for signature. Krotz made a motion to authorize the chairman to sign the Nebraska Board of Classifications and Standards Report for submission to the State. Kling seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Kuester reported that his crews are still working 10-hour days hauling as much gravel as possible while good weather continues. They plan to return to 8-hour days at the end of the month.
Veterans Service Office Secretary, Linda Strasburger met with the board to discuss implementation of the new pay policy required by new Federal overtime requirements.
