The Sheridan County Board of Equalization met in regular session at 10:30 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Andersen made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the 11-21-2016 minutes. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Assessor Amanda Lane presented the board with two correction sheets for approval. Andersen made a motion to correct a clerical error on valuation for Dwaine and Peg Sones Lot 9, Block 50 Rickleys Addition Rushville. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Krotz made a motion to correct a clerical error on valuation for Anthony Puchner Pt W1/2 NW1/4 35-32-44. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Lane reported that the soil scientists involved in the update of the soil survey have indicated that the county will need to re-classify some 268,000 acres using the new categories of “dry” and “moist”. More information will come soon on this issue.
Lane asked the board about who could put the decals on the County Car. The board directed her to visit with Sheriff or the Road Department to see who they use.
