The board convened a hearing to consider the application for tax exemption for two vehicles owned by Hands of Faith Ministry. Executive Director Curtis Hoyt was present as was County Treasurer Peg Sones. Treasurer Sones disapproved the application for exemption due to the application not being submitted in a timely fashion. Statute says that an application for exemption must be made within thirty days after the purchase date. Hoyt felt that since he was in the office during that thirty day time that he should be granted the exemption. Sones stated that she had tried to call him several times and was unsuccessful. The hearing was closed and Krotz made a motion to deny the Application for Exemption for Hands of Faith Ministries due to the dates of filing not falling within the regulations of the law. Paul seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
