The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Andersen stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Andersen seconded the motion. All voted aye. Paul made a motion to approve the minutes of 4-10-2017. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Claim checks were signed and salary claims were approved.
Road Superintendent Tom Kuester informed the board that the Pleasant Point Church Road is complete. Kuester also stated that John Brenneman is working on the Krause Road. And Jonathan Nielsen has started hauling red rock that was authorized awhile back. Kuester stated that he will haul 5 loads.
Kuester informed the board that he has 4 employees that will be taking a refresher course on motor grader driving that L-tap will be putting on. The training will last 3 days and will provide hands on experience.
Sheriff Robbins was present to ask why the contractors were not working. The board was not sure of the schedule and informed Robbins to call the project manager. Robbins stated that he and Maintenance Supt Sones walked thru and made a list of the things that need completed. Robbins informed the board that MANNA is planning to come this afternoon to install the security cameras. Robbins is ready to get prisoners back in the jail.
