The meeting was called to order by Mayor Heiser at 6:00 p.m. as per the Municipal Code of the City of Rushville, Sheridan County, NE. Notice of the meeting was given by publication in the Sheridan County Journal Star on April 25, 2018 as required by law and delivered to the Council in person. Present: Jansen, Snyder Lovell. Absent: Willnerd.
The following motions were duly made, seconded and passed.
1. To approve, accept and ratify the following items listed under the consent agenda: March minutes & Treasurer’s Report.
2. Approved monthly payments on a residence water bill with no late charges until the bill is paid in full as long as monthly payments are made.
3. Approved bid from Sides & Milburn Ford for mower at City Park
4. Approved Council date for May 29, 2018.
5. Approved all of the following bills for the City of Rushville and that warrants be drawn for same:

Under public comments, Chris House was present to ask why the Sheriff wasn’t attending Council meetings on a quarterly basis. Chris House also requested the City get new trash cans for the City Park and Main Street. She was advised to ask Security First Bank about trash cans on Main Street as they provided the last ones. Mayor Heiser informed the Council that NPPD will be replacing street lights on the one and two hundred blocks on Main Street he asked the Council to take notice to see if they like the new LED lights. Mayor Heiser also informed the Council that Sandridge Golf Course made $8,000.00 on the fund raiser tournament and the person that won the golf cart gave her old cart to the Golf Course. Chris House then asked when it is planned to start work on the trees at the Cemetery. Diana Robins-Mansel asked about replacing the side walk on the vacant lot on Loofborrow Street.
Daniel Bennett from PADD was present to report updates. He informed the Council that grant writing is available at no fee if it is not too detailed. He advised grants are available for environmental research on properties. He stated Rushville does qualify for Community grants for downtown improvements as the city is 51% low income. Daniel Bennett will check on grants for rock crushing.
