Gordon’s Coffee Nook changes owners, hours

A passion for crafts and conversations inspired the previous owner Barb Haller to purchase The Coffee Nook in Gordon. Now, new owners will add their personal twists and brew their love of coffee for customers.

Heath named Gordon Chief of Police

With almost 22 years of experience as an officer for the Gordon Police Department, Clay Heath will serve as the department’s chief of police.

Chief Heath has served the Gordon community as a corporal, sergeant, and lieutenant with each position offering more responsibilities. “He has regularly accepted new and additional responsibilities that have demonstrated his ability to handle the various and complex administrative duties that will be required of him,&rdquo

Community Action Planning Meeting held to plan Gordon’s future

About 20 citizens attended a community action planning meeting held at the Gordon Elementary School cafeteria on Monday, October 9 from 5:30-7:50 p.m. The crowd included three members of the planning commission and the city manager. Daniel Bennett, community planner with Panhandle Area Development District, and Kelsey Irvine, Community Health Planner with Panhandle Public Health District, facilitated the discussion.
