Patricia Lou Clark

Patricia Lou Clark, 89 years of age, of Wymore passed away at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center Friday afternoon, December 6, 2013. She was born on October 4, 1924 in Wymore, NE to Fredrick and Calista Stoll, the oldest of 3 children. She was raised in Wymore, NE. She attended grade school through high school in Wymore, NE, graduating in 1943. Pat married Fred Charles Clark on May 8, 1943 in Marysville, KS at the Christian Church parsonage. They spent the next 70 years together.

During the World War II years Pat was employed as a government inspector at Store Kraft in Beatrice, NE.  Pat and Fred moved to Rushville, NE in 1960 where Pat was an active Member of the Methodist Church and served on the board for many years. She also served on the library board and was president and life member of the Ladies Columbia Reading Circle (LCRC). In 1989 Pat & Fritz moved back to Wymore to close to her mother. She was an active member of the Wymore Church of Christ.  She taught Sunday school, enjoyed working in the nursery and was past president of Mary Circle.

Pat was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years both in Beatrice/Wymore and Rushville. She served as past matron of Garnet Chapter in Rushville, NE. She was Grand Page and Grand Martha of the Grand Order of Eastern Star for the State of Nebraska and enjoyed the travel to all the chapters and meeting new Star members. Pat possessed a deep passion for her family a love of nature and the great enjoyment of her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren who lovingly called her GG. Pat was an avid reader, loved to play Bridge, and spent many hours working in her yard with the flowers, and enjoyed watching the birds. She will be remembered by her family as the best wife, mother, grandmother and GG there ever was.

Pat is survived by her husband of 70 years Fred Clark, Son Timothy and Kathryn Clark of Kansas City, Missouri, Granddaughter Sibyl and husband Brad Schrock of Henry, IL who have 3 daughters Hunter, Braden and Harper, Grandson Ian and wife Crystal Clark of Monticello, IL who have a daughter Cloe and son Hudson. Pat is also survived by her sister Shirley Martin from Omaha, a sister-in-law Betty Stoll of Nebraska City, NE, niece Kimberly Lincoln & family of Omaha, NE and nephew Fred Stoll & family of Lincoln, NE. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Calista Stoll, one brother, Fred F. Stoll and one brother-in-law, Virgil Martin.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Wymore Church of Christ with Reverend Clayton Lundstedt and Reverend Gail Portenier officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the Wymore Cemetery. There will be no viewing, but a register book will be available Monday from 11-9:00 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore with the family greeting friends from 6-7:30 Monday. A memorial has been established to the Wymore Public Library with the funeral home in charge. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 AM Tuesday at the church.
