Wesley B. Bisby

Wesley B. Bisby, 83, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

The son of Elmer and Ruth (Scott) Bisby was born on August 25, 1932 in Wheatland, Pa.

Wesley served in the U.S. Air Force from Dec. 19, 1951 to Sept. 29, 1955 during the Korean War, as an Airman First Class.

On July 14, 1985 he was united in marriage to Virginia J. Essman. Wes and June had eight children Pam, Vivian, Wes II, William, John, Becky, Robert, and Michelle, as well as Elizabeth and Pati. Wes and June moved all over the United States due to his job as an electrician.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, their children, Elizabeth (Bill) Reinitz of Orland, Cali., Pati Barragan of Klamath Falls, Ore., Pam (Joe) Lliteras of Chadron, Vivian (John) Raeside of Rockland, Cali., Wesley Bisby II of Sunland, Cali., William Bisby of Hay Springs, John (Ann) Bisby of Manchester, Md., Rebecca Hagerman of Hay Springs, Robert (Cindy) Bisby of Blacksburg, S.C., Michelle Grant of Big Springs, Texas and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Ruth (David) Ochoa of Henderson, Nev., Marie Walker of Bend, Ore., Timothy (Laurie) Bisby of Bend, Ore., Paul (Bobette) Bisby of Quartz Hill, Cali., Daniel Bisby and James Bisby of Lancaster, Cali., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Elmer and Christopher Bisby, and his sisters, Geraldine Covell and Patricia Crosswait.

Graveside services will be Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance with Pastor Randy Gulbranson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home in Alliance.

Memorials may be given to the Hay Spring Volunteer Fire Department, Hay Springs, Neb.
