Shelby Lynn Henson, 19, passed from this earth August 9, 2012, due to a fatal car accident south of Alliance.
She was born July 13, 1993, in Alliance to Bradley and Rhonda (Frohman) Henson. Shelby graduated from Alliance High School in May 2011.
As a child she loved crafts, attended both Awana and Catholic youth groups, played baseball and was in the high school band. Shelby was known for her wonderful smile and her big heart. She loved her family and was blessed with her 4 month old baby boy, Ayden. She was currently employed as a night manager at Subway.
She is survived by her parents, Rhonda (Charles) Hamm and Brad (Marie) Henson of Alliance, her fiancé Hunter Peterson and their son, Ayden Tanner, her brother, James Frohman of Colorado Springs, his grandfather, Dean Henson of Bayard, Neb. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tanner Henson, her grandparents, Leo and Mary Frohman and Florence Henson and uncles, Larry Frohman and Jeff Henson.
Funeral services were Monday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Lou Nollette officiating. Burial was in the Alliance Cemetery. Following the interment, family and friends gathered at the American Legion for a time of sharing memories and a meal. Visitation was Sunday from 1-6 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established for her son, Ayden and they may be sent in care of the family to 208 East 6th Street, Alliance, NE 69301.
