Hawks suffer big losses

The Hawks suffered two big losses at the Arapahoe Holiday tournament on Thursday and Friday the 27th and 28th, falling to host Arapahoe 62-25 in the opening round game and then dropping a 62-20 contest to Pleasanton in the consolation game.  The Hawks fell behind very early against Arapahoe trailing 27-4 at the end of the first quarter and 44-8 at the half.  After building a big first quarter lead the Warriors skated in the second half while narrowly outscoring the Hawks 18-16 in the second half.  The Hawks were led by Regg Strotheide with 12.

In the consolation game, the Hawks, still stinging from a big loss the day before, never could get any momentum going against the Bulldogs falling behind 19-4 in the first quarter and 34-10 at the break.  The Hawks offense continued to struggle in the second half as they were unable to manage double figures in any of the four quarters enroute to a forty-two point loss.  The Hawks were again led by Regg Strotheide with 8 points
