Lady Hawks turn season around

The Hay Springs Lady Hawks  had a rough couple of games during their triangular meet with Mitchell and Leyton, losing all four sets. Hay Springs lost to Mitchell 25-20 and 25-13. Whitney Heiting had 7 points, 3 assists, 4 kills; Kate Roberts made 4 kills, 3 points, 3 aces; Cydney Jancik had 4 points, 1 ace and Jesse Heiting helped with 6 assists. The lady Hawks also lost to Leyton that day 25-14 and 25-17. Kate Roberts had 4 kills; Whitney Heiting had 4 kills; Cydney Jancik also had 4 kills; Steph Tlustos helped with 5 assists, 4 points and 1 ace, and Sydney Tlustos ended up with 5 points and 1 ace.

Things turned around for the Lady Hawks last Saturday in Crawford as they defeated all three teams. Against Banner county the scores were 25-12, 25-8 with Steph Tlustos having 9 points, 6 aces, 4 assists; Whitney Heiting added 12 points, 5 aces, 4 kills and Jesse Heiting had 6 points, 3 aces, 4 assists. 

The Hawks defeated Sioux County 25-14, 25-23. Jesse Heiting had 11 assists, 3 points, 2 aces Whitney Heiting had 9 kills; Cydney Jancik contributed 5 digs and 5 points; Sydney Tlustos scored 7 points with 2 aces and Kate Roberts added 8 points.

The last game was no different as they beat Crawford in all three sets, 28-26, 26-24, 25-18. Whitney Heiting ended up with 4 aces, 10 kills, 7 digs and 7 pts; Jen Scherbarth had 3 blocks and Cydney Jancik scored 9 pts with 1 ace and 9 digs.
