Charmayne Strong, daughter of Bernard and Dr. Terry Beguin-Strong has signed a National Letter of Intent to rodeo for Chadron State College. Chadron State College is in the Central Rocky Mountain region participating in rodeos in Wyoming, Colorado and the Chadron State College rodeo in the fall. The Chadron Sate College girls team was the runner-up to the regional team title this past year. They were edged out by Gillette by 12 points. The Chadron State College girls team will be participating in the College National Finals the end of June.

Charmayne has participated in rodeo at all levels. She started out at Junior rodeos, National Little Britches rodeo and the Nebraska Junior High School Rodeo Association, which she has participated in the past four years. They are finishing their spring rodeo run with the State Finals the end of June, determining who will represent Nebraska at the National Finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming the end of July. The top four finishers in the state get to represent Nebraska at the National Finals and compete for thousands of dollars in scholarship money.
