Mustangs run at Bayard

The Gordon-Rushville track team traveled to Bayard last Saturday for the Bayard CD Invite. The boys placed second with a total of 60 team points, and the girls finished 6th with 38.

 

Hannah Andersen placed 4th in the girls 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.51.

Denie Jacobson placed 6th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:40.3.

Dani Wellnitz placed 4th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:16.73, followed by Denie Jacobson in 5th with 6:24.31. Dani placed 2nd in the girls 3200 meter run with a time of 13:32.76.

Hali Sahr placed 4th in girls 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.68 seconds, followed by Cali Mulcahy in 5th with a time of 17.77. Cali placed 5th in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 52.51.

The girls 4x100 meter relay team placed 6th with a time of 55.45 seconds.

The girls 4x800 meter relay team took first with a time of 10:52.80.

Kalen Coats placed 6th in the boys 100 meter dash with a time of 11.59 seconds. Kalen took 4th in the 200 with a time of 24.26.

Gary Kaplan took first in the boys 400 meter dash with a time of 53.62 seconds.

Cole Wellnitz took first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.62, followed by Gary Kaplan in 3rd with a time of 2:12.7.

Cole also took first in the boys 1600 meter run with a time of 4:48.58, followed by Gary Kaplan in 4th with a time of 5:10.59.

The boys 4x100 meter relay team placed 6th with a time of 47.34 seconds.

The 4x400 meter team took 4th with a time of 3:53.14.

The boys 4x800 meter relay team placed 4th with a time of 9:12.00.

Lemur Gardner was the only Mustang to place in the throwing events with a 3rd place finish on a 132’ 6” discus throw.

The Mustangs’ next meet will be Thursday, April 5, at the Perkins County Invite.
