The Mustang track team traveled to Kimball last Saturday for the Western Trails Conference Track Meet. The boys tied with Kimball for fourth overall with 79 team points. The girls took third overall with 80 team points.
Jessica Bragg was the only lady Mustang to place in the girls 100 meter dash with a 13th place time of 14.88 seconds.
Cirsten Hinn finished 8th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 30.14 seconds, followed by Jessica Bragg in 10th with 31.26.
Hannah Andersen finished 5th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:06.7, followed by Cirsten Hinn in 7th with 1:07.9, and Rachel Johnson in 10th with 1:13.6.
Jordan Shadbolt took 3rd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:47.32, followed by Sara Marlatt in 3rd in 2:53.64.
Dani Wellnitz won the girls 1600 meter run with a time of 6:03.86. Dani also won the 3200 in 13:06.21. Taryn American Horse finished 5th in the 3200 with a time of 17:03.79.
Hali Sahr placed 3rd in the 100 meter hurdles in 17.68 seconds, followed by Cali Mulcahy in 4th with 17.8, and Anna Shadbolt in 7th with 19.12.
Cali Mulcahy took second in the 300 meter hurdles in 53.6 seconds, followed by Hali Sahr in 3rd with 54.0, and Anna Shadbolt in 4th with 55.8.
Cirsten Hinn finished 14th in the long jump with a jump of 12’ 2.5”
Brittany Hoagland placed 10th in the triple jump with a jump of 28’ 4”.
Sara Marlatt took 10th in girls discus with a throw of 82’ 11”. Brittany Hoagland finished 12th with 71’ 2.5”, and Leah Irving finished 17th with 48’ 8”.
The girls 4x100 relay team of Jessica Bragg, Hali Sahr, Cirsten Hinn, and Cali Mulcahy finished 5th in a time of 56.63 seconds.
The 4x400 relay team of Hannah Andersen, Hali Sahr, Cali Mulcahy, and Anna Shadbolt finished 3rd in a time of 4: 39.53.
The 4x800 relay team of Hanna Andersen, Dani Wellnitz, Rachel Johnson, and Jordan Shadbolt finished first with a winning time of 10:53.5, almost 20 seconds ahead of 2nd place Bridgeport.
In the boys 100 meter dash, Daniele Marozzi finished 10th with a time of 12.22 seconds, and John Tullis finished 14th in 12.52.
Tristan Tuma finished 11th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.61 seconds, followed by Daniele Marozzi in 12th with 25.71, and John Tullis in 14th with 26.3.
Gary Kaplan placed 3rd in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.4 seconds. Tristan Tuma finished 7th in 1:00.4.
Kaplan won the boys 800 meter run in a time of 2:13.34, followed by James Neeley in 3rd with 2:18.28. Gary also took second in the 1600 with a time of 5:04.69.
Matt Downing finished 6th in the 3200 with a time of 12:38.06.
Ryan Burdine placed 4th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 18.15 seconds. Burdine took 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 45.7 seconds.
Lex Haller finished 2nd in the boys high jump with a height of 5’ 6”.
Cody Campbell finished 9th in the long jump with a distance of 17’ 3”, followed by Daniele Marozzi in 11th with a jump of 17’ 2.25”.
Campbell took first in the triple jump with a winning jump of 39’ 10.5”.
Lemur Gardner won the discus with a throw of 134’ 10.5”. Ben Wegner finished 13th with 90’ 9.5”, and Lucas Irving 19th with 73’ 5”.
The boys 4x400 meter relay team of Ryan Burdine, James Neeley, Matt Downing, and LEx Haller finished 4th with a time of 4:08.34.
The boys 4x800 team of Matt Downing, Gary Kaplan, James Neeley, and John Tullis finished 3rd in 9:39.9.
The Mustangs’ next meet will be Saturday, April 21, in Chadron.
