Jerilyn Scherbarth and Stevin Horrocks helped lead their respective teams on Saturday at the Alliance Invitational track meet.
Scherbarth led the Lady Hawks with two runner-up finishes in the 800 meter run and the two mile, a 5th place finish in the 400 meter dash, and was a part of the two mile relay team that also finished 2nd in a timeof 11:38. Other two mile relay members were Kerisa Marx, Jenn Scherbarth, and Brittany Ferguson. Michaela Metcalf was the Lady Hawks only other individual placewinner. Metcalf finished 5th in the 800 meter run. The Lady Hawks other placings came in the 400 meter relay and the mile relay. The team consisting of Brittany Ferguson, Cydney Jancik, Kerisa Marx, and Whitney Heiting finished 4th in the 400 meter relay while the mile relay team finished in 6th place. Relay members wre Jenn Scherbarth, Heiting, Ferguson, and Jancik. The Lady Hawks finished 6th of 12 teams. Due to adverse weather conditions, the pole vault, long jump, and triple jump were cancelled.
On the boys side, Stevin Horrocks was the champion of the 300 meter hurdles in a time of :41.76. Horrocks also finished 2nd in the 110 high hurdles, tied for 2nd in the high jump, and was 3rd in the 100 meter dash. John Rotness tied with Horrocks for a 2nd place finish in the high jump. Austin Weyers was the Hawks last individual placewinner with a 5th place finish in the 100 meter dash. The Hawks team scoring was rounded out by the two mile relay team that finished 6th. Team members were Austin Weyers, Dylan Mathson, Kolten Marx, and Joey Johnson. The team finished 5th of 15 teams.
