Mustangs win at Bennett County, girls beat Mullen

The Mustangs went to Bennett County Friday and came away with wins.

The Lady Mustangs pulled away from Warriors in the second half when they scored 23 points in the third quarter and won 68-59.

The Mustangs ran away from the Warriors, out-scoring them in three of the four quarters to win 67-51.

On Saturday the Mustangs traveled to Mullen for non-conference play.

The Mustangs took off early against Mullen, leading them 18-8 in the first quarter, but Mullen was able to catch up 20-19 at half and took the lead. The Mustangs were never able to catch up and fell 53-62. Schwarting and junior Rhett Conroy led the team with 16 points, followed by freshman Jared Nelson with 12.

The Lady Mustangs edged out Mullen in a low scoring game 39-26, where they never lost the lead.
