The G/R Boys Golf team traveled to Morrill on Tuesday, April 17 where they scored their lowest team score so far this season with a 361. Renen Sahr won the meet with a score of 74 followed by Trey Hardin at 86, Kyle Anderson at 97, and the big mover of the team Eric Jacobson with a 104. Eric lowered his score by 12 strokes in this meet.
The boys also participated in the Alliance meet Saturday, which included both Division I and Division II schools. The team scored a cumulative score of 367 and took 2nd place as a team nearly edging out Bayard who posted a team score of 366. Renen won his 4th consecutive meet of the season with a hard earned score of 78. Trey Hardin took 4th place with a score of 87, Kyle Anderson at 99, Eric Jacobson at 103, and Corby Johns with a 122. The golfers struggled with consistent winds 35mph and gusts of 45 to 50mph. The lowest score posted for the day was a 76 by two golfers in Division I followed by four 78’s. The Golf team will travel to Bayard on Saturday for WTC.
