Lady Mustangs trample Valentine, Bayard

The Lady Mustangs (6-4) had a good weekend as they beat Valentine (1-7) on Friday and Bayard (3-7) on Saturday in blowout home games.

The girls started off strong against the Badgers, out scoring them 69-29. The defense helped keep the Badgers out of the game with 18 team steals and held Valentine to four points in the third quarter.

The Lady Mustangs followed up on Saturday with a 58-31 win over Bayard. The Lady Mustangs ran over Bayard in the first half, making it 38-12. Bayard was able to match the Mustangs in the second half point-wise, but the damage was already done and the Lady Mustangs came out with the win. The girls are currently 3-1 at home.

Sophomore Josie Perez was named the Player of the Game for both games, scoring a combined 35 points over the weekend.
