The Lady Hawks (6-8) took third place in the Panhandle Tournament and the Hawks (3-11) took fourth on Saturday.
The Lady Hawks showed a strong defensive effort Monday in a 39-15 win over Sioux County (6-8), never letting them score double digits in a quarter and holding them scoreless in the first and third quarter.
Freshman Emma Roberts was player of the game.
The Lady Hawks will play at home against Hemingford (11-2) on Friday for the semi-finals.

The Hawks played a higher scoring game Tuesday when they beat Morrill (5-9) 69-58. The Hawks staved off Morrill by outscoring them in three of the four quarters, sealing it by scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Hawks followed up with a 19-55 loss to Hemingford (13-2) on Friday at home. Hemingford was able to keep the Lady Hawks at single digits in all four quarters.
Whitney Heiting was the player of the game.

The Hawks lost a closer game against Sioux County (11-3) by 51-58. The game was tied at 19-19 at half, but Sioux County was able to stay ahead at the end.
On Saturday the Lady Hawks put up a strong performance against Morrill (8-9) and outscored the Lions in three of the four quarters. They took third place in the tournament with a 59-45 win.
The Hawks started off strong against Crawford (7-9) taking an early lead and holding it for most of the game. But a late surge from the Rams made the score 45-45 during the last minute of the game, and a final two-pointer from Crawford left the Hawks hanging with a 45-47 loss.
