Cody Darnell ties up National Championship

Gordon’s Cody Darnell wrapped up a National Championship in Boys Goat Tying at the National Junior High School Rodeo Finals in Gallup, N.M. last week.

Cody won the average with a total time of 33.686 seconds on three head.

 

Several area youth participated in the rodeo with results below.

First round 
Boys Breakaway Roping: JT Adamson, Cody 8.335, 54th.

Boys Goat Tying: Cody Darnell, Gordon, 12.313, 19th.

Chute Dogging: Brock Henry, Rushville, 2.865, 10th.

Ribbon Roping: JT Adamson and Sydney Adamson, Cody, 9.721, 15th.

Tie Down Roping: Cody Darnell, Gordon, 19.785, 30th.

Team Roping: JT Adamson, Cody and Cody Darnell, Gordon, 9.761, 8th.

Second round
