Adamson makes final round of National High School Finals Rodeo

David Hinman of Hay Springs, Charmayne Strong of Rushville, Cati Stanko of Gordon, and Lindsay Adamson of Cody all travelled to Rock Springs Wyoming last week to compete in the National High School Finals Rodeo.
Cati Stanko’s first performance of the rodeo was Monday night in the breakaway roping, where she made a great run of 3.9 seconds. Tuesday morning Cati competed in the Goat Tying with a time of 9.69 seconds. Wednesday morning Cati made her first run in the pole bending with a time of 25.542 seconds.
Charmayne Strong’s first performance of the rodeo was in the pole bending Tuesday evening where she made a time of 26.921 seconds.
David Hinman’s first performance of the rodeo was Tuesday night in the tie-down roping with a time of 10.48 seconds.
Lindsay Adamson also competed in the breakaway roping making a great time of 2.62 seconds. Lindsay also competed in the first round of the girls cutting receiving a score of 207 points.
In the second round Cati Stanko did not have a time for breakaway roping or goat tying. In the pole bending, Cati had a second round time of 20.672 seconds.
Charmayne had a second run in the poles of 21.042 seconds.
David Hinman had a second time of 19.42 seconds in the tie-down roping, which wasn’t enough to keep him in the top twenty going into the final round.
Lindsay Adamson had a great second time of 3.1 secods in the breakaway roping, which was enough to advance her to the third and final round of the rodeo. In the short round Lindsay had a time of 12.56 seconds which was good enough for her to finish thirteenth overall.
