Gordon-Rushville’s Kenna Campbell was one of only two girls to jump 5’4” at the NSAA State Track and Field Championships in Omaha last week. Campbell took second behind Kennedy Berreckman of Cozad, who reached the hight with just one fewer misses. The Mustang senior’s best jump of the year was 5’6” at the Chadron Twilight meet back in April, while Berreckman’s personal best was 5’5”.
Gordon-Rushville sophomore Faith Brehmer finished 17th of 24 in the womens 400 meter prelims with a time of 1:02.84. Junior Korby Campbell finished 24th in the mens 400 meter prelims with a time of 54.02.
Hay Springs’ lone competitor, sophomore Jessi Badje, finished 12th in the womens 3200 meters with a season record time of 12:49.84.
