Jr High Rodeo Team ends fall season on positive note

The last Nebraska Jr. High fall rodeo was in Torrington, Wyoming. All three of the Gordon-Rushville Middle School students that participated finished the fall season on a positive note.
On Saturday, Blake Henry won the boys break away roping with a time of 4.31 seconds. Blake also placed 8th in the team roping with Caleb Hilliker. Morgan Darnell and her roping partner, Ryan Koenig, from Ewing, Nebraska were 2nd in the ribbon roping with a time of 11.10 seconds. Morgan was 4th in the girls break away roping with a time of 4.66 seconds. She also placed 8th in the goat tying and 7th in the team roping with her partner, Maddee Doerr, from Creighton, Nebraska.
On Sunday, Blake Henry place 2nd in the chute dogging with a time of 5.71. He also place 7th in the boys goat tying and tied for 4th-5th in the ribbon roping with his partner, Maddee Doerr. Caleb Hilliker placed 9th in the boys goat tying with a time of 14.37 seconds. Morgan Darnell placed 4th in the team roping with her partner, Maddee Doerr. Morgan Darnell and Ryan Koenig placed first in the ribbon roping with a time of 11.12. Morgan and Ryan also won buckles for winning the average for both rodeos.
