The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. Kling and Krotz present, Andersen was excused. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Kling seconded the motion All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 3-16-2015. Kling seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
The board signed claim checks and audited and approved salary claims.
Curtis Hoyt, Executive Director of Hands of Faith Ministry, was present and asked the board for a subdivision request of a 2.23 acre plot of land at the ministry site 3 miles south of White Clay. Hoyt informed the board that the subdivision would help strengthen a grant request the Ministry is preparing for the expansion of the facility. Krotz made a motion to adopt resolution #2015-4 granting subdivision approval of land in Section 7, Township 34 Range 44. Kling seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Road Superintendent Tom Kuester informed the board that he will be putting several items on the consignment auction in Rushville on April 18. 1979 Chevy 4X4 pickup with plow, 1996 Ford Crown Vic, 1999 Chevy 4x4 pickup, two 500 gallon army surplus fuel trailers and the pickup mount spray unit.
Sheriff Robbins was also present and listed some surplus equipment he would also like to consign. 1988 GMC Suburban, 1992 Ford Explorer and a 2001 Ford Crown Vic. Krotz made a motion to declare all the items mentioned as surplus and authorized them to be sold at auction. Kling seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Kuester informed the board that as of April 6, the county road crews would begin the summer work schedule of four 10-hour days per week.
