The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9:30 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Krotz made a motion to accept the agenda. Andersen seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 7-25-2016. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Road Superintendent Tom Kuester presented two approach requests to the board. Andersen made a motion to approve an approach for Ron Roffers on 240th Lane and one for Randy Schmidt on 680th Road. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
The board discussed doing personnel evaluations on the 6 departments that they oversee. They will discuss more at next meeting.
The board interviewed Steve Waldron for the position of housekeeper. The board offered him the position and he accepted it. Waldron will start employment with the County on August 22, 2016.
County Assessor Amanda Lane met with the board to discuss how to prepare the vehicle operation budget for her office for the next year. Estimation of costs is all that can be used at this time.
