The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Kling stated that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Andersen made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 8-22-16. Andersen seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye.
Road Superintendent Tom Kuester informed the board that his crew had finished Shell Lake Road and are working on other roads in that area.
Paul Simmons met with the board to visit about 365 Road. Simmons asked for a long term program to fix the base of the road. No crown left on the road and has several large holes that need immediate attention. Simmons stated that six families live on the road and travel it daily. Kuester will try to get the holes repaired and try to come up with a plan for the near future.
The board did performance evaluations. They evaluated Tom Kuester, Kristi Paul, Jeanette Graber, Dwaine Sones and Barb Retzlaff. The board asked maintenance and housekeeping to report to the board every couple of months.
The remainder of the day was spent on budget preparation.
