The meeting was called to order by Mayor Chris Heiser at 6:00 p.m. as per the Municipal Code of the City of Rushville, Sheridan County, NE. Notice of the meeting was given by publication in the Sheridan County Journal Star on August 23, 2017 as required by law and delivered to the Council in person. Present: Jansen,Willnerd, Snyder. Absent: Lovell.

In non-agenda items, Mayor Heiser introduced Andrew Black Elk to the Council. He will be the student liaison for the 2017-18 school year.
Representatives from the Gordon Police Department were present with the police dog and demonstrated situations showing the dog at work.
Doug Dykstra from Gen Pro Energy was not present. Further discussion regarding Solar Energy was tabled until the September meeting.
Bill Arthur from Assisted Living was unable to attend the meeting. Councilman Steve Willnerd will visit with Bill Arthur about the HVAC System at the hospital building and report next month.
The City Boards will meet as follows:
Ambulance Board September 12, 2017; Park Board September 18, 2017; Cemetery Board September 18, 2017; Library Board September 18, 2017.
