Rushville City Council Minutes, November 26, 2018

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Chris Heiser at 6:00 p.m. as per the Municipal Code of the City of Rushville, Sheridan County, NE.  Notice of the meeting was given by publication in the Sheridan County Journal Star on November 21, 2018 as required by law and delivered to the Council in person. Present:  Jansen, Willnerd, Lovell. Absent:  Councilman Snyder.  

The following motions were duly made, seconded and passed.

1. To approve, accept and ratify the following items listed under the consent agenda:    October minutes & Treasurer’s Report.

2. Approved Resolution #18-05 Sub Division of land for Don Linders & Brad Janssen.

3. Approved Ordinance #18-788 Extension of City Sales Tax

4. Approved all of the following bills for the City of Rushville and that warrants be drawn for same:

Under Public comments on non-agenda items,  Kris House thanked the City crew for the removal of trees at the Cemetery and hopes they will continue to take out more trees and trim trees in the road ways.  She also informed the Council that the Swimming Pool Committee would like to be put on the February Council agenda.

The Employee handbook was discussed.  The City Attorney has a few changes to complete so action was tabled until next meeting.

The Water bill for 505 Sprague Street was discussed.  The Council asked the City Clerk to send a letter to the customer regarding payment of this bill.

The Council set December 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. for their December meeting.    

The City Boards will meet as follows:

Ambulance Board December 11, 2018.
