The meeting was called to order by President Willnerd at 6:00 p.m. as per the Municipal Code of the City of Rushville, Sheridan County, NE. Notice of the meeting was given by publication in the Sheridan County Journal Star on May 19, 2021 as required by law and delivered to the Council in person. Dale & Karla Ruleau were present for discussion about the park and swimming pool. Karla brought up that 2 of the disc golf things were broken and needed repaired. Update on park restroom – hoping to be done by June 15. Karla also noted that they are looking for a new park board member. Dale reported that they are looking into a new vacuum for the pool, he is in the process of getting some prices. He informed us that he ordered neck blocks for the backboard and that he had 8 people apply for lifeguard positions. At this time they are waiting for them to test.
Bill Rabeler was present for discussion regarding the replating of the Talbot Sub-division. This was tabled at this time.
A bid from Bill Johnson Spray Foam for the roof of the fire hall was discussed, but decided that the roof needs to be fixed properly before going forward with this. We will look at it again next month.
Elie Otte was present for discussion about purchasing a lot from the City. This was tabled until next month as it needs to be surveyed first.
Kirk Beguin reported that the City guys are working on replacing some of the water meters around town that are not working. He also reported that when they are done patching streets they will decide which streets will be armor coated.
