Officer Jeff Brewer with the Gordon Police Department responded to 213 N. Maverick St. early Tuesday morning to investigate a possible vandalism.

After visiting with the owners and walking around the property, he recorded that there was minor damage to the south side of the home.

Over the last weekend in July and early August, the Gordon Police Department received several calls about vandalized residences, which remains under investigation.

Gordon Police Chief Clay Heath said there have been four vandalism instances reported.

One occurred on city property on the 300 block of N. Main St., which involved minor damage. Another location was at the Great Plains Communication property. Heath reported there was significant damage done to equipment, trailers, and the building. The suspects spray painted items and damaged property.  The Methodist Church also had minor vandalism to the flowers.

Heath said they do suspect other criminal mischief occurred that evening, but that is all that was reported. There is no known value for damages. No names have been released about the responsible parties, but the Gordon Police Department have strong leads.
