The 2022-23 Voice of Democracy contest, which is hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), recognized three students of Gordon-Rushville High School this past week.

Venus Keller, Colton Archibald, and Stella Wegner all received medals and a bit of cash for their participation in the annual contest.

All in all, GRHS submitted 78 entires into the contest, the most of any school in the Panhandle.

The three individuals who placed in the contest had the opportunity to present their pieces at the annual Veteran’s Day Program which was held at GRHS in November of 2022.

The VFW District #1 thanks all of the students who participated in this year’s program.
