Robert (Bob) Allen Ott

Robert Allen “Bob” Ott, son of Phyllis Ott and the late Lloyd Ott, passed away January 1, 2013 at the hospital in Auburn, WA. Bob was born April 3, 1950 at the Dalton Hospital in Dalton, Nebr., the third son of Phyllis & Lloyd.

He grew up on the farm home near Angora, attended rural school there before moving to Rushville and graduating in May 1967.

Shortly after finishing school he enlisted in the Army and after basic training he spent 2 years in Vietnam during the war. Upon his return and honorable discharge, he moved to Seattle WA to live with brother, Randy. There he met and married Susan Moore and together they raised 2 daughters; Roxie (Erick) Supplee of Bend Ore., and Jane Ott of Puyallup, Wash. His wife Susan of Auburn, Wash. survives him, as do his daughters and two grandchildren, Jett & Presley Supplee. Also surving is his mother Phyllis Ott of Kinmundy, IL; 3 brothers, Randy of Seattle, Wash.; Jon (Mary) of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Jack (Lora) of Shelton, Wash.; and sister Terri (Ed) Miller of Kinmundy, IL. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews, and cousins among them Alan Kisner, Beth Ann Rodak, & Debbie Wells and two uncles Lenard Ott and Douglas Newkirk all of Bridgeport.

Bob was interned at Tahoma National Cemetary in Kent WA after his military memorial service.
