Maurice Reeves

Maurice Reeves (Moe Reeves), 74, of Whiteclay, Nebraska, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at Chadron Community Hospital.

The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Extension Church in Whiteclay, Neb. Reverend Al Trucano will be officiating the service.

Moe was born in Rushville, April 6, 1938. He graduated from Rushville High School and continued on to Chadron State College.

Moe worked and owned Nicks Saws and Parts for 30 years. He loved farming and spending time with his family. Great conversations and solving world problems in the late hours of the evening was a favorite pastime. Moe is known for his humor and for being named the grumpiest man in Whiteclay in the Lakota Times.

Mole has been a lifetime Elks member and a lifetime Eagles member.

Moe is survived by his mother Carrie Reeves, his sister Holly Jacquot and her husband Roger; daughter Ronda Hillberg and her husband Dan, daughter Valerie Reeves, his son Ed Reeves and wife Tonya, son Wayne Reeves and his wife Shalaine, his grandchildren Jordan, Journey, Lexi and Mya Reeves, DJ, Chris, Bridget and Andrew Rouse, Joeseph, Suraiya, Shayla, Brittany, Brandon and Cherish Reeves, Daniel and Nick Hillberg, neice Carol Sturm and nephew David Dreyer and wife Cheryl and his six great grandchildren.

Moe is preceded in death by his father Louis Reeves, his brother Jerry Reeves and his sister Joyce Dreyer.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Parkview Lodge Assisted Living in Rushville and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366 Gordon, NE 69343.
