Wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, and long time Beaverton, Oregon resident Mayme Heyer, 77, died Friday March 30.
Mayme was born June 10, 1934 in Gordon, Nebraska to Ernest and Mildred Hatch. She grew up on the family farm in Gordon where she met and later married Dean Heyer.
Dean and Mayme lived in Beaverton Oregon where they raised their family together until Dean's death in 1996. They were married for almost 40 years.
Mayme was a homemaker and then worked in banking until she retired. She loved being a mother and grandmother. Mayme was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, and volunteered for many years at the Beaverton Loaves and Fishes.
Mayme is survived by brothers David Hatch, Ernie Hatch, and George Hatch, and sisters Joann Coon and Bea Sheilds. Two daughters Danean Canucci, her husband Dave, and Pamela Heyer and her husband Garth Bird. Three grandchildren Dean, Jackson and Julia.
Visitation will be April 6, 2012, 1 pm to 5 pm at Pegg, Paxson, and Springer Funeral Chapel in Beaverton. Private family graveside service will be April 9, 2012 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
