On the morning of Oct. 17, 2017, Keith passed away at Nebraska Medicine Hospital in Omaha, Neb., with his sister, Lynne, at his side. He was 59 years old.
Keith was born on Dec. 28, 1957, in Phoenix, Ariz.; he was the second child of Dr. Joe and Joan Saults.
Keith lived in Phoenix with his family until Dr. Joe finished his service with the U.S. Army in Korea, then moved to Mullen, Neb., in 1959. Keith attended Mullen Public Schools and graduated from Mullen High School in 1976. Keith then returned to Phoenix, Ariz., in August of 1976 and graduated from Arizona State University in 1981.
Keith’s first job was working in the hay field at the Saults Ranch with his Grandfather from the early age of 8 through 18. He had so many memorable moments with the bunkhouse crew. After graduating college Keith spent many years of his life employed as a meat grader for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, moving from Omaha, Neb., to Sioux City, Iowa, and to Norfolk, Neb. Later, Keith was in partnership of a check cashing business called “Fast Bucks” in Norfolk. Keith also was employed by Dismal River Club, in Mullen, Neb., for many summers. At the time of Keith’s death, he was employed as a school bus driver for Battlecreek Schools.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Joe and Joan, and his Grandparents Orville and Florence Conner, and Glenn and Hazel Hertzler.
Keith is survived by his Sister, Lynne Grimes, Nieces, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many dear friends.
