Dawnelle was born in Madera Cal to Walker H. “Bevo” and Marjorie E. (VanAckeren) Davis on 13 March 1949 and passed away in Wilmington N.C. on 06 November 2018. The family included her older brother David. The family resided in Dos Palos Cal until moving in 1956 to Decatur, NE, then in 1957 to Valentine, NE, where she attended a one room school, until finally in 1960 moving to Rushville, NE., where she graduated High School in 1967. She also attended Chadron State College.
This nomadic childhood was what probably led to her nomadic adult lifestyle living in numerous cities across the U.S. being engaged in food service, customer service, hair stylist, paralegal, and meat processing.
She is survived by her life partner Tina Moody, brother David, nephews Jacob, Nicholas (Alicia), Noah (Chrissy), and great nieces Sienna, Ashlyn, Juliette, Caitlin, Kenadae, Sophie, Everly, and one great nephew Ian, all Davis’, and step great nephew Logan Sullivan.
She was preceded in passing by her Grandmother Opal VanAckeren, Mother, Father, and lifetime friend Darryl.
In lieu of of a memorial service, just have a thought of how Dawnelle and Darryl are stretching the limits of their current surroundings.
