Mildred Frohman

Mildred Lillian (Denton) Frohman, 91, of Hot Springs, SD, went to be with her loving Heavenly Father on January 25, 2023. Mildred was born July 16th, 1931, to Glenn E. Denton Sr. and Georgia (Hunter) on their farm near Rushville, NE. She attended Craven Creek school and graduated from Rushville, Nebraska high school in 1948. She went to United Airlines school in Omaha, NE and worked in Chicago, IL.

In 1953 she married Merle A. Frohman. They spent most of their life in Hot Springs, SD. She had a long career and retired from the VA Medical Center in Hot Springs. She was very active in her church and local history of Hot Springs. She loved to plant her garden and flowers and provided flower arrangements to her church every week.

She is preceded in death by her husband Merle; her parents; one brother, Arthur Denton; one son, Merle Lynn Frohman and one great grandson, Zane Harris.

She is survived by her daughter, Merlene (Michael) Edwards of Omaha, NE; her sons, Jerry (Connie) Thomas of Hemingford NE; Mike (Vonda) of Billings MT; David (Anna) of Vale SD and Greg (Belinda) of Hot Springs SD. She has 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 brothers; 4 sisters; 2 sisters-in-law; numerous nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church in Hot Springs, SD.

Committal services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Beaver Valley Cemetery near Chadron, NE.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home of Hot Springs, SD.
