Larry Fochtman

Larry Lynn Fochtman age 73 of Marquette, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, May 3rd, in Dorchester, Nebraska.

Larry was born on February 26th, 1950, in Callaway, Nebraska to Wilfred L. and Barbara F. (Brabham) Fochtman.

Larry was a cowboy most of his life and was well known for those skills. He was also a truck driver before retiring in 2015. His love of horses led him to join the Spring Creek Saddle Club in Aurora, Neb. where he enjoyed many years of trail riding with friends. Other hobbies included collecting and repurposing, western movies, and country music. He loved the mountains and idolized John Wayne.

Survivors include children Luke Fochtman of Henderson, Neb., David Tonniges and wife Stacy of Plattsmouth, Neb.; Two grandchildren Jackson and Tori Tonniges, also survived by brothers Jerry and his wife Sharon Fochtman of Gordon, Neb., Randy and wife Michelle Fochtman of Dorchester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Terry Fochtman, and his significant other Mary Johnson.

His Celebration of Life will be held on June 17, 2023, at his brother Randy’s house from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. outside of Dorchester. All friends and family are welcome.
